Real Time Aerodynamics

We are proud to be the exclusive distributer for the Body Rocket system in Australia.

The Body Rocket system brings wind tunnel technology to the outside world. Using direct force measurement, combined with wind speed, wind angle and of course power; the data that is generated will transform the understanding of rider dynamics, both aero and otherwise. The uses of this data are constantly evolving as we deal with elite athletes and world tour teams. From early injury detection to hydration monitoring, the potential uses of the data are expanding every day.

Take the wind tunnel outside.

During extensive wind tunnel validation testing, published in the Journal of Cycling and Science, we recorded a variation of between 0.7% and 2.3% when comparing our readings to that of the wind tunnel.

Unique power data

Power data at every point of the pedal stroke.

With a high measurement and transmission frequency our power meters offer completely unique power data.

Having developed the worlds most accurate power meters it has been decided they will be made available for sale separately.

Compare different set ups in training for maximum race day performance. Data is available in real time to make on the fly adjustments via our app, your laptop or on the bike with your Garmin device.

Coach, bike fitter or athlete?

The Body Rocket system was designed to measure all the forces on a rider in order to measure drag accurately. As soon as the first units hit testing it was discovered that what the system offered was much, much more than that. The data set that the system can generate includes but is not limited to:

  • Time (s)Seconds from start
  • Distance (m)
  • Lap distance (m)
  • Lap number
  • CdA (m²)
  • Drag (N)
  • Power (W)
  • Left pedal power (W)
  • Right pedal power (W)
  • Cadence (RPM)
  • Total weight (g)
  • Weight on left pedal (g)
  • Weight on right pedal (g)
  • Weight on handlebar (g)
  • on saddle (g)
  • Left pedal Fx force (N)
  • Right pedal Fx force (N)
  • Handlebar Fx force (N)
  • Saddle Fx force (N)
  • Handlebar roll moment (Nm)
  • Saddle roll moment (Nm)
  • Handlebar pitch moment (Nm)
  • Saddle pitch moment (Nm)
  • Left pedal radial force (N)
  • Left pedal tangential force (N)
  • Right pedal radial force (N)
  • Right pedal tangential force (N)
  • Left pedal crank angle (deg)
  • Right pedal crank angle (deg)
  • Ground speed (m/s)
  • Air speed (m/s)
  • Yaw Angle (deg)
  • Position on saddle (mm)
